The Advance One Room School No. 7 is over 130 years old.

Imagine the initial renovations to the building and landscape, its furnishings and educational materials. Don't forget keeping up with repairs and stocks of items or paying monthly utilities and other bills. Volunteers need training and others create schedules and organize field trips, too.

All of it began with love and endures because of love.

It also requires money and labor.

Buy-a-Brick Program

For $75 dollars, CCRTA members and friends can purchase
a brick with an engraved message or dedication
of their choosing. 

Engraved bricks create an apron in front
of the flagpole toward the back of the
school and by the circular drive.

Clark County Retired Teachers One Room School Car Show

After Several Years, the Clark County Retired Teachers Association Car Show at Young's Jersey Dairy held its last car show fund raiser in October 2025. Thank you to all who volunteered to keep it alive.

Held each October across from Young's Jersey Dairy

by Yellow Springs, the CCRTA Cruise-In brought in over 200

hot rods and classic cars. Plaques and trophies awarded the best; raffles and

silent auction items tantalized the visitors. Registration

fees and sales helped fund the Advance One Room School's day-long field trip projects for mostly third and fourth graders.

CCRTA volunteers worked tirelessly but enjoyed the opportunity
to raise money to support the Advance One Room School.
